Payment details

Network: Base, eip155:8453. Asset: USDC on Base, 6 decimals. Facilitator: https://pay.openfacilitator.io. The pay-to address is issued in the 402 challenge and the discovery file. Unpaid requests receive the 402 challenge, never the payload. Settled payments return the JSON payload with a receipt carrying the on-chain transaction hash in the X-PAYMENT-RESPONSE header.

How to pay, step by step

Call a priced endpoint with no payment header. You receive HTTP 402 with a paymentRequirements body and a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header.
Sign the USDC payment authorization for the quoted amount and pay-to address.
Retry the same endpoint with the signed payment in the X-PAYMENT header, base64 encoded.
The facilitator verifies and settles on chain. You receive HTTP 200, the JSON payload, and a receipt with the transaction hash.

Replayed payments are rejected. Underpaid or wrong-payee payments are rejected before any facilitator call. Free feeds stay free.
